Today we are happy to be able to finally announce our partnership with Australian based Sim Racing team Altus Esports, something that has been in the pipeline for a while now and that both parties can’t wait to start to build upon.

“At the Chiefs we see huge possibility in the racing game genre and the cross over between esports/gaming & motorsport here in ANZ. It is an area that hasn’t been fully explored in our region through the more traditional gaming & esport teams and we want to help change that. The recent V8 Supercars Eseries product has shown a great starting point for where a competition can sit domestically and we want to help further develop this ecosystem. Simon and Altus are very well in-grained already in the scene and I can't say enough how helpful he has already been in further educating us on the space, introducing us to new contacts and being integral in planning for 2020” - Josh Harvey, Chiefs Marketing & Partnerships Manager.

"We felt a great synergy between the organisations, despite our relative difference in maturity within the Esports & Gaming scene. There is a lot that we can learn from The Chiefs, and a lot that we can do to broaden the exposure to each other's audience."

"From a racing perspective, we feel the time is right to really move the needle forward as far as Racing Esports is concerned, and we're excited to engage with The Chiefs in this new partnership, as they too are racing fans and love the unique features of racing as an Esport" said Altus team manager Simon Feigl.

The partnership will help both brands work collaboratively on projects including grassroot development within the racing genre and joint involvement for future events and activations around Australia. Both brands will share knowledge and contacts to streamline the development of the scene locally and use the combined knowledge to also help consult on other relevant projects.
