Today, we are proud to announce the acquisition of the top Australian and New Zealand Overwatch team during the beta, formerly known as “Vandelay Industries”.

With every member of the team possessing illustrious competitive history and experience in games such as TF2, Counter-Strike and Gears of War, the team swept the two “Best of the Beta” tournaments, dropping only one map over the course of the competitions.

“With over 9.7 million players during the Overwatch open beta, we have no doubt in this game’s popularity and competitive potential.” Said Frank Li, owner and founder of the Chiefs. “Blizzard ANZ have traditionally always been very supportive of the Oceanic competitive scene. I cannot wait to see the hype for the game come to fruition!”

Ory, captain of the team, had this to say, “We’re really excited for the opportunity to be partnering with such a prestigious organisation as the Chiefs. We’re confident with their support we can achieve our goal of being the best team in Australia and beyond.”
