It is with heavy hearts that today we must bid farewell to our longtime Support player, EGym.
Bryce ‘EGym’ Paule joined the iconic Chief roster that we all know in April 2015, and since then, has accomplished a myriad of achievements with us. Winning 3 OPL finals was only the beginning; as a member of the Chiefs Bryce has travelled to numerous countries around the globe to play on the international stage to represent both OCE and the Chiefs, and in doing so has most definitely asserted his place as some of the highest talent in OCE. A 3 time OPL winner, Bryce also represented OCE at the International Wildcard All-Stars in 2015, as well as being the starting support for New South Wales during the 2017 League of Origin.
“Bryce is a great player, (other than his headramming).” Says Brandon ‘Swip3rR’ Holland, his longtime teammate. “He was our main play maker and his engages made me look better than I was a lot of the time. I stride to gain the level of confidence he has in not hesitating.”
Not only did EGym prove himself as such a dominating force in the Chiefs, he’s become one of the most recognisable faces in OCE, appearing on the OPL broadcast many times as either an analyst or caster. It is an understatement to say that he has set a bar in OCE that many aspire to reach, his involvement reaching beyond just that of a player.
“I’ll miss Bryce’s flat head,” Swip3rR continues, “And seriously, he upped my fashion sense and really helped mature me as a person during our time in Korea together. He is a great person and it was a pleasure working with him.”
It’s safe to say that the man that was once known as “EGym Ali God” will be sorely missed, but we wish him all the best in any of his future endeavours! Fear not, you shall see his face again soon. Thank you, Bryce.
