The Chiefs return to Call of Duty
The Chiefs have a proud history in Call of Duty dating back to 2015 and it’s good to be back! The signing of this Call of Duty team also means that The Chiefs are back with a console team for the first time in a while and we can’t wait to start supporting the Call of Duty community more with our involvement.
With the success of Warzone and our involvement in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare through things like the Red Bull Drop Zone event we decided to follow Chiefs content creator Lymax when he made the move onto a top competitive team and pick up that team.
Please welcome the competitive team:
- Hayden ‘Damage’ Handakas
- Giancarlo ‘Nimble’ Vagnini
- Mark ‘Zepa’ Zepackic
- Max ‘Restalling’ Zlatanovic
- Aaron ‘Lymax’ Butcher (Twitter currently on vacation)
“Call of Duty has a special place in our heart” began Nick Bobir, CEO of The Chiefs. “For all of our management staff, this franchise is where we were introduced to esports and cut our teeth in the industry. What better way to come back to the game than with our old friends, who have been family to us for years and still driving the scene within the region. We can’t wait to see what they can do with a strong support structure behind them”.
Our support into Call of Duty extends past just picking up this roster, we will also be bringing in our commercial partners both current and some to be announced to support the wider domestic eco-system with competitions and tournaments.
Chiefs Call of Duty will make their return this weekend in the Call of Duty Challengers – Minnesota Open which will be streamed live on Twitch & YouTube and make sure to check the player social media channels for their Twitch stream POV’s.
