It is with a heavy heart that we announce ‘Ory’ is stepping down from the Chiefs Overwatch roster effectively immediately. Our resident support player and Mercy aficionado, in this time with the Chiefs, Oryhas developed a reputation amongst his peers and opponents alike for being one of the best, if not the best, Mercy player in the region.

Well respected by everyone, Ory’s work ethic and dedication to the team will be sorely missed from a playing perspective, but we are happy to announce he will be staying with the team in a substitute capacity as well as assisting with coaching and managerial duties for the foreseeable future.

“Unfortunately I’ll be stepping down due to personal health reasons and will no longer be able to compete with the team. I’d like to thank my team for an incredible few months and the accomplishments we achieved together and the Chiefs organisation for giving myself and the team a fantastic opportunity and excellent support. I wish them both the best in the future. I will have a backup role and still be involved with the team for whatever the future may bring.” – Ory

We would like to thank Ory immensely for his contributions so far, and look forward to still working with him in a bright future to come!

In addition, we would like to welcome Luke ‘Zellogs’ Gerrard to the starting line up to fulfill the void left by Ory’s departure. You can find him on Twitter at @Chief_zellogs.
