Over the weekend, the Chiefs Counter-strike: Global Offensive squad qualified for their second international trip in three months, this time jetting off to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to represent Oceania in the ROG MASTER’s Grand Finals!

The online qualifiers took place on the 10th of September, and started the night against Incept on Cache, which Chiefs took out 16-6 after a strong 11-4 CT-half. With Team Immunity winning their match against Wartype, Chiefs had a huge battle against the new Immunity lineup on Cobble, and the scores showed it; the boys trailed 6-9 at half time but pulled off a close comeback to win 16-13 and advance to the semi-finals against Legacy Esports. One Cache game stood in our way before Kuala Lumpur and the team took an easy 16-6 victory, over Legacy Esports to get there.

We will be heading to Malaysia to compete on the 12th and 13th of November later this year, where we will face two teams from each of the following regions:

  • East Asia
  • Southeast Asia
  • China
  • Rest of Asia

Two more teams will be directly invited and thus 12 teams will battle it out in the City Centre of Kuala Lumpur for a $50,000 USD prize pool. This is a great opportunity for the team to show off what they learned in Katowice and how much they’ve improved in a short amount of time!
